باب ما جاء فى بكاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلمChapter: What has been reported concerning the weeping of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Prophet attained the highest level of servitude
Hadith 321
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارِكِ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَلِجَوْفِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Shikhkhir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he was performing prayer, and from his chest there was a sound of weeping like the boiling of a pot.
