Hadith 307
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ السَّبْتَ وَالْأَحَدَ وَالَاثْنَيْنَ، وَمِنَ الشَّهْرِ الْآخَرِ الثُّلَاثَاءَ وَالْأَرْبَعَاءَ وَالْخَمِيسَ»
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in one month, and in the next month he used to fast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
