Abundant fasting in Sha'ban
Hadith 305
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ فِي شَهْرٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ فِي شَعْبَانَ»
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to especially observe fasting on Mondays and Thursdays.
