Hadith 288
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حَكِيمُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الزِّيَادِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ الزِّيَادِيُّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform six units (rak‘ahs) of the Duha (forenoon) prayer.
