The greatness of Hassan, the Prophet’s poet
Hadith 249
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، وَالْمَعْنَى وَاحِدٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضَعُ لِحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ مِنْبَرًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَقُومُ عَلَيْهِ قَائِمًا يُفَاخِرُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَوْ قَالَ: يُنَافِحُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَيَقُولُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُؤَيِّدُ حَسَّانَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ مَا يُنَافِحُ أَوْ يُفَاخِرُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would have a pulpit placed in the mosque for Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), upon which he would stand and express pride on behalf of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or she says that he would defend the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And during this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say, "As long as Hassan continues to express pride on behalf of the Messenger of Allah or defends him, Allah Almighty will continue to help him through the Holy Spirit (Jibreel Amin, peace be upon him)."
Hadith 250
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
Imam Urwah, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa, may Allah be pleased with her, who narrates the same from the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
