Hadith 225
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: " كَانَ فِي سَاقَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُمُوشَةٌ، وَكَانَ لَا يَضْحَكُ إِلَّا تَبَسُّمًا، فَكُنْتُ إِذَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ قُلْتُ: أَكْحَلُ الْعَيْنَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ بِأَكْحَلَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the shins of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were somewhat slender, he did not laugh but only smiled, and when I looked at him, it seemed as if he had applied kohl to his eyes, although he had not applied any kohl.
