Benefits of drinking water in three sips
Hadith 209
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَيُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عصَامَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا إِذَا شَرِبَ، وَيَقُولُ: «هُوَ أَمْرَأُ وَأَرْوَى»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that when the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, drank water, he would breathe three times in the vessel and would say: "This method is more pleasant and more satisfying."
