Dua upon seeing new fruit
Hadith 200
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، (ح) وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : كَانَ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا أَوَّلَ الثَّمَرِ جَاءُوا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِذَا أَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي ثِمَارِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مَدِينَتِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا وَفِي مُدِّنَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدُكَ وَخَلِيلُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنَّهُ دَعَاكَ لِمَكَّةَ، وَإِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ بِمِثْلِ مَا دَعَاكَ بِهِ لِمَكَّةَ وَمِثْلِهِ مَعَهُ» قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَدْعُو أَصْغَرَ وَلِيدٍ يَرَاهُ فَيُعْطِيهِ ذَلِكَ الثَّمَرَ
The leader of the jurists, our master Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he said: Whenever the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) saw a new fruit, they would present it to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take it, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! Bless our fruits, and bless our city, and bless our measure (mudd) and our scale (sa’), O Noble Lord! Ibrahim (peace be upon him), Your servant, Your friend, and Your prophet, prayed to You for Makkah, and I pray to You for Madinah with the same supplication as he made for Makkah, and even double that." The narrator says that then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would call for the youngest child present and give him that fruit.
