Description of the Prophet’s bowl
Hadith 194
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: أَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَدَحَ خَشَبٍ غَلِيظًا مُضَبَّبًا بِحَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ: «يَا ثَابِتُ، هَذَا قَدَحُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) brought to us a strong, thick wooden bowl with an iron band around it to show us, and said: O Thabit! This bowl belonged to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
