Hadith 187
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one day we were present in the blessed service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when food was presented before him. The blessing at the beginning of the meal was such that I had never seen such blessing in any food before, and the lack of blessing at the end of the meal was also something I had never seen before. We asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the reason for this? He replied: "When we began eating, we mentioned the blessed name of Allah Almighty. Then a man sat down to eat and he did not mention the pure name of Allah Almighty, so with that person, Satan also ate the food."
