Safiyyah’s wedding feast was dates and flour
Hadith 176
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ، عَنِ ابْنِهِ وَهُوَ بَكْرُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: «أَوْلَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِتَمْرٍ وَسَوِيقٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, who says that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, held the wedding banquet (walima) of Lady Safiyyah (Safiyyah bint Huyayy), may Allah be pleased with her, with dates and sattu (barley porridge).
