Hadith 160
Hakeem bin Jabir narrates from his father that he said: I presented myself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and saw that there were gourds being cut in his presence. I asked: What is this? The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: "With this, we will increase our food." Imam Abu Isa Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: In this hadith, Jabir refers to Jabir bin Tariq, who is also called Ibn Abi Tariq. He was a companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and to our knowledge, only this one hadith is narrated from him. And in the chain of narration, the one named Abu Khalid is Sa'd.
