Hadith 157
Ameer al-Mu'mineen Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat olive oil (by mixing it in your food) and apply it (to your body), for it is from a blessed tree (its fruit)." Abu Isa al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: In the chain of this hadith, the narrator 'Abdur Razzaq is inconsistent; sometimes he narrates it as musnad and sometimes as mursal.
Hadith 158
Zaid bin Aslam narrated from his father, who narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the same manner, and in this narration, the intermediary of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) is not mentioned.
