Eating while squatting
Hadith 141
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: «أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَمْرٍ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَأْكُلُ وَهُوَ مُقْعٍ مِنَ الْجُوعِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that he says: Dates were presented to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. I saw that he, peace and blessings be upon him, was eating them, and due to hunger, he, peace and blessings be upon him, was sitting on his buttocks with his shins upright.
