Hadith 130
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. قَالَ: «الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ» . قَالَ: وَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا قَالَ: «وَشَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ،» أَوْ «قَوْلُ الزُّورِ» قَالَ: فَمَا زَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا: لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the major sins?" (The noble Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all) submitted: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Associating partners with Allah, and disobedience to parents." Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then sat up, whereas before he had been reclining, and said: "And false testimony," or he said: "And false speech." The narrator says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kept repeating this last statement so much that we wished he would be silent.
