باب ما جاء فى صفة درع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلمChapter: What has been reported concerning the description of the armor of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Using armor in battle is not against reliance on Allah
Hadith 110
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ دِرْعَانِ، قَدْ ظَاهَرَ بَيْنَهُمَا»
Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that on the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two coats of mail, one over the other.
