What was inscribed on the Prophet’s ring
Hadith 90
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ نَقْشُ خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مُحَمَّدٌ سَطْرٌ، وَرَسُولٌ سَطْرٌ، وَاللَّهُ سَطْرٌ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, who says that the inscription on the ring of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, was such that in one line was "Muhammad", in the second line was "Rasul", and in the third line was the word "Allah".
