حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، فَكَانَ يَخْتِمُ بِهِ وَلَا يَلْبَسُهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: " أَبُو بِشْرٍ اسْمُهُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made of silver with which he would seal (letters), and he would not wear it. Abu Isa Tirmidhi says: Abu Bishr's name is Ja'far bin Abi Wahshiyyah.
