White Clothes Are the Best Garment
Hadith 69
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْبَسُوا الْبَيَاضَ؛ فَإِنَّهَا أَطْهَرُ وَأَطْيَبُ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub, may Allah be pleased with him, he says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You should wear white clothes, for they are pure and clean, and shroud your deceased in them."
