It is narrated from Amir al-Mu'minin Sayyiduna Umar ibn Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him for something. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have nothing with me, but you may buy on my behalf; when I receive wealth, I will pay it." Sayyiduna Umar ibn Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah! You have given him what Allah Almighty has not made you responsible for, nor is it within your reach and power. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked what Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said. Meanwhile, a man from the Ansar said: O Messenger of Allah! Keep spending and do not fear poverty from the One who is above the Throne. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to smile, and happiness could be seen on his face because of the Ansari's words. Then he said: "This is what I have been commanded to do."
