The Prophet recited aloud
Hadith 317
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، قَالَتْ: «كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ قِرَاءَةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَرِيشِي»
Sayyida Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I used to hear the recitation of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at night from the roof of my house.
