The Prophet snored while sleeping
Hadith 257
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيلٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَامَ حَتَّى نَفَخَ، وَكَانَ إِذَا نَامَ نَفَخَ فَأَتَاهُ بِلَالٌ فَآذَنَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ، فَقَامَ وَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ» وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ قِصَّةٌ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that (once) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping until he began to snore, and whenever he slept, he would snore. Then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came to him and informed him about the prayer. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and performed the prayer without performing ablution. There is an incident in this hadith.
