Jasmine is a plant of Paradise
Hadith 220
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ الصَّوَّافُ، عَنْ حَنَانٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أُعْطِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الرَّيْحَانَ فَلَا يَرُدُّهُ، فَإِنَّهُ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ» قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: «وَلَا نَعْرِفُ لِحَنَانٍ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ»
Abu Uthman Nahdi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you is given Rayhan (jasmine), he should not refuse it, for indeed this plant has come from Paradise." Imam Abu Isa al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Other than this hadith, we do not know of any narration from Hanan. He also says that Imam Abdur Rahman bin Abi Hatim, in his book al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil, says: Hanan Asadi is from the family of Asad bin Sharik, and he was the paternal uncle of the father of Sahib Rafiq Musaddad (by Sahib Rafiq it is meant that he used to deal in the buying and selling of slaves). He narrated from Abu Uthman Nahdi, and from him Hajjaj bin Abi Uthman Sawwaf narrated. Abdur Rahman bin Abi Hatim says: I heard this from my father Abu Hatim.
