Nazal bin Sabrah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a water jug (bowl) was brought to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was at the place of Rahbah. He took a handful from it and washed both his hands, rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, and wiped his face, wrists, and head. Then, while standing, he drank from that water and said: This is the ablution of the one who is not without ablution. I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing the same.
