It is narrated from Sayyida Rabi’ bint Mu’awwidh bin ‘Afra’ (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: Sayyiduna Mu’awwidh bin ‘Afra’ (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me with a tray of fresh dates in which there were also small cucumbers with cotton. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was very fond of cucumber. When I brought them to him, some jewelry had arrived to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from Bahrain, so he took a handful from it and gifted it to me.
