Thank Allah when food is received
Hadith 193
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْأَكْلَةَ، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah Almighty is pleased with that person who, when he eats a morsel of food or drinks a sip of water, gives thanks to Allah, Glorious is His Majesty, for it."
