باب ما جاء فى خاتم النبوةChapter: What has been reported concerning the Seal of Prophethood
The Seal of Prophethood Was Between His Shoulders
Hadith 17
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ [ص: 43] حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ الْخَاتَمَ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُدَّةً حَمْرَاءَ مِثْلَ بَيْضَةِ الْحَمَامَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: I saw the Seal between the two shoulders of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, which was in the form of a red lump, like the egg of a pigeon.
