Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: A tailor invited the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to a meal. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I also went with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to that meal. He presented to him barley bread and a dish in which there was broth, gourd, and pieces of dried meat. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) searching for the gourd from the sides of the bowl, so from that day I have always liked gourd.
