(286) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي تَقْدِيمِ الضُّعَفَاءِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ إِلَى مِنًى بِاللَّيْلِ
Chapter: Permission for weak men and children to leave Jam‘ for Mina at night
Hadith 2870
ثنا ثنا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ , وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ , قَالُوا : ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، يَقُولُ : " أَنَا مِمَّنْ قَدَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةَ فِي ضَعَفَةِ أَهْلِهِ " ، وَقَالَ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ , وَالْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، وَعَلِيٌّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I was among those weak individuals from the family of the Prophet (peace be upon him) whom he sent from Muzdalifah to Mina during the night.
Hadith 2871
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّازِقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُقَدِّمُ ضَعَفَةَ أَهْلِهِ ، فَيَقِفُونَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ بِلَيْلٍ ، فَيَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ مَا بَدَا لَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ يَدْفَعُونَ ، فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي مِنًى لِصَلاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، وَأُولَئِكَ ضَعَفَةُ أَهْلِهِ ، وَيَقُولُ أَذِنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he used to send the weak members of his family ahead. They would stay at Mash'ar al-Haram during the night, remembering Allah as long as they wished, and then proceed to Mina. Some of them would reach Mina at the time of the morning prayer, and some would arrive after that. All of these people were the weak and feeble ones from his family. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had permitted the weak ones to do so.
