Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to teach and show Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) the rites of Hajj. He led him in the prayers of Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr in Mina. Then he went with him to Arafat and led him in the Zuhr and Asr prayers there, and kept him at the place of standing (wuquf) in Arafat until sunset. Then he departed with him, and led him in the Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr prayers in Muzdalifah, and made him spend the night in Muzdalifah. Then (in the morning, after going to Mina) he stoned the Jamrah. After showing him all the rites, he said: "I‘rif al-aan" (Now recognize well). In the same way, Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) taught all the rites to the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as well.
