Sayyiduna ‘Urwah bin Mudarris bin Aws bin Harithah bin Lam Ta’i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was staying at Muzdalifah. I said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you from the mountains of the Tayy tribe. I have exhausted my mount and I myself am worn out with fatigue. By Allah, I did not leave any hill but that I stayed upon it. Has my Hajj been completed?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever has performed this (Fajr) prayer with us and has stayed with us at this place (Muzdalifah), and before that he came from ‘Arafat by day or night, then his Hajj is complete and he has fulfilled his rites (and removed his dirt).”
And the evidence that the one who departs from Arafah after the sun has passed its zenith but before sunset on the night of sacrifice attains Hajj and does not miss it, contrary to the statement of those who claim that the one who departs from Arafah and leaves its boundary before sunset on the night of sacrifice misses Hajj, unless he returns and enters the boundary of Arafah before the break of dawn on the day of sacrifice.
