(226) بَابُ وَقْتِ الْخُرُوجِ يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى مِنًى
Chapter: Time of departure from Mecca to Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah
Hadith 2796
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ عَقِلْتَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَيْنَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ ؟ قَالَ : " بِمِنًى " ، قُلْتُ : فَأَيْنَ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ يَوْمَ النَّفْرِ ؟ قَالَ : " بِالأَبْطَحِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " افْعَلْ كَمَا فَعَلَ أُمَرَاؤُكَ "
Hazrat Abdul Aziz bin Rafi' narrates that I asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and said to him: Tell me something that you understood from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Where did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offer the Zuhr prayer on the Day of Tarwiyah? He replied: In Mina. I asked: Where did he offer the Asr prayer on the day of departure? He said: In Abtah. Then he said: Do as your rulers do. (Wherever they pray, you should pray there as well.)
Hadith 2797
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : لَقِيتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَلَى حِمَارٍ مُتَوَجِّهًا إِلَى مِنًى يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ الظُّهْرَ ؟ قَالَ : " صَلَّى حَيْثُ يُصَلِّي أُمَرَاؤُكَ " ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ : عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ
Hazrat Abdul Aziz bin Rafi’ narrates that I met Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik while he was riding a donkey and heading towards Mina. I asked him, “Where did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) offer the Zuhr prayer on this day (8th of Dhul-Hijjah)?” He replied, “You should pray where your rulers pray.”
