(216) بَابُ تَقْبِيلِ طَرَفِ الْمِحْجَنِ إِذَا اسْتُلِمَ بِهِ الرُّكْنُ
Chapter: Kissing the end of the staff after touching the Corner with it
Hadith Q2782
إِنْ صَحَّ الْخَبَرُ؛ لِإَنَّ فِي الْقَلْبِ مِنْ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
Provided that this narration is authentic, because my heart is not satisfied regarding this chain of transmission.
Hadith 2782
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُلَيْكٍ الْعَدَنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ ، أَوْ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ ، وَهُوَ لَيَسْتَلِمُ بِمِحْجَنِهِ ، وَيُقَبِّلُ طَرَفَ الْمِحْجَنِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing Tawaf while sitting on his she-camel or his mount. He would touch the Black Stone with his staff and then kiss the end of the staff.
Hadith 2783
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي خَرَّبُوذَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَطُوفُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ ، وَيَسْتَلِمُ الأَرْكَانَ بِمِحْجَنِهِ " ، قَالَ : " وَأُرَاهُ يُقَبِّلُ طَرَفَ الْمِحْجَنِ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّفَا فَطَافَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing Tawaf of the Sacred House while riding his mount. He would touch the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner with his staff, and I saw him kiss the tip of the staff. Then he went towards Safa and performed Sa’i on his mount.
