(198) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا صَلَّى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ
Chapter: Evidence that the Prophet prayed the two rak‘ahs (after tawaf)
Hadith Q2755
حِينَ عَمَدَ إِلَى مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ، جَعَلَ الْمَقَامَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَابِ، لَا أَنَّهُ وَقَفَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمَقَامِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَسَارِهِ
You placed the Maqam Ibrahim between yourself and the door of the Sacred House and performed the prayer. You did not stand in front of the Maqam Ibrahim, nor to its right or left side.
Hadith 2755
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ فِي حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ : " ثُمَّ رَمَلَ ثَلاثًا ، وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا ، ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَقَامَ ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى سورة البقرة آية 125 ، وَجَعَلَ الْمَقَامَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَابِ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَتَى الْبَيْتَ وَاسْتَلَمَ الرُّكْنَ " ، فَذَكَرَ بَاقِيَ الْحَدِيثِ
A detailed narration regarding the Hajj of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both). He says: Then the Prophet performed ramal (brisk walking) in three circuits and walked normally in four circuits. Then he came to the Station of Ibrahim, then recited this verse « وَاتَّخِذُوا مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى » [ سورة البقرة : 125 ] "And take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer." The Prophet (peace be upon him) placed the Station of Ibrahim between himself and the door of the Sacred House (Ka'bah) while praying. When he finished the prayer, he came to the Sacred House and kissed the Black Stone. Then he narrated the rest of the hadith.
