(181) بَابُ صِفَةِ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ وَالْبَيَانُ أَنَّهُمَا يَاقُوتَتَانِ مِنْ يَوَاقِيتِ الْجَنَّةِ

Hadith 2731
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ أَبُو عَمِيرَةَ الْبَلَوِيِّ مُؤَذِّنُ مَسْجِدِ الرَّمْلَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُسَافِعٍ الْحَجَبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الرُّكْنُ ، وَالْمَقَامُ: يَاقُوتَتَانِ مِنْ يَاقُوتِ الْجَنَّةِ طَمَسَ اللَّهُ نُورَهُمَا ، وَلَوْلا ذَلِكَ لأَضَاءَتَا مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: هَذَا الْخَبَرُ لَمْ يُسْنِدْهُ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ غَيْرُ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ إِنْ كَانَ حَفِظَ عَنْهُ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ مُسَافِعَ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ ، مَرْفُوعًا غَيْرُ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، رَوَاهُ رَجَاءٌ أَبُو يَحْيَى .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Black Stone and Maqam Ibrahim are two rubies from the rubies of Paradise. Allah Almighty has extinguished their light. And if Allah Almighty had not extinguished their light, they would have illuminated everything between the east and the west."
Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that to my knowledge, only Ayyub bin Suwayd has narrated this hadith with a musnad chain from Imam Zuhri, provided that he remembered it from Imam Zuhri. Besides Imam Zuhri, Raja Abu Yahya has also narrated this hadith from Masafih bin Shaybah.
Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that to my knowledge, only Ayyub bin Suwayd has narrated this hadith with a musnad chain from Imam Zuhri, provided that he remembered it from Imam Zuhri. Besides Imam Zuhri, Raja Abu Yahya has also narrated this hadith from Masafih bin Shaybah.
Hadith 2732
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءٌ أَبُو يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَافِعُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، أَنْشَدَ بِاللَّهِ ثَلاثًا ، وَوَضَعَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ الْحَجَرَ وَالْمَقَامَ " ، بِمِثْلِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: لَسْتُ أَعْرِفُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ هَذَا بِعَدَالَةٍ وَلا جَرْحٍ ، وَلَسْتُ أَحْتَجُ بِخَبَرِ مِثْلِهِ .
Hazrat Masaafi’ bin Shaybah narrates that I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) swear three times, and he put his fingers in his ears and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, “Indeed, the Black Stone and Maqam Ibrahim...” (He narrated a hadith similar to the one mentioned above.) Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I do not know about the criticism or praise (jarh wa ta'dil) regarding Abu Raja. I do not consider the hadith of such narrators as proof or evidence.
