(167) بَابُ اسْتِلَامِ الْحَجَرِ بِالْيَدِ، وَتَقْبِيلِ الْيَدِ إِذَا لَمْ يُمْكِنْ تَقْبِيلُ الْحَجَرِ وَلَا السُّجُودُ عَلَيْهِ
Chapter: Touching the Black Stone with the hand and kissing the hand if unable to kiss or prostrate on the Stone
Hadith 2715
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ بِيَدِهِ ، وَقَبَّلَ يَدَهُ ، وَقَالَ : " مَا تَرَكْتُهُ مُنْذُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ " . حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ
Imam Nafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) touch the Black Stone with his hand and then kiss his hand. And he said: Since I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this, I have never abandoned it.
