Hadith 2703
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hands will be raised at seven places." In this hadith, it is mentioned: "And hands will be raised upon seeing the Sacred House (the Ka'bah)." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have not mentioned a separate chapter for this hadith because there is a difference among the narrators in its chain of transmission, and I have mentioned it in the Book al-Kabir.
Hadith 2704
Hazrat Muhajir Makki narrates that it was asked from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) about the person who sees the Sacred House (the Ka'bah), should he raise his hands? He replied that in my opinion, only the Jews do this act, whereas we performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and he did not use to do this.
