Hadith 2694
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that he began reciting the Talbiyah near the tree at Dhul-Hulaifah. And when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the place of Dhi Tuwa, he spent the night there until he performed the morning prayer, then he performed ghusl (ritual bath), then he entered Makkah Mukarramah from its upper side, from Kada’. And when he left Makkah Mukarramah, he exited from its lower side, from Kada’.

It is narrated from Nafi‘ that when Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reached Dhu’l-Hulayfah, he would order for the saddle to be placed on his mount, so the saddle would be placed. Then he would perform the morning prayer, then mount (his ride). When his mount became straight with him, he would face the qiblah, make the intention, and begin reciting the talbiyah. When he entered the boundaries of the Haram, he would stop reciting the talbiyah. When he reached the place of Dhi Tuwa, he spent the night there. Then he performed the morning prayer and then took a bath. Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) believed that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had done likewise.
