(148) بَابُ إِبَاحَةِ أَبْدَالِ الْمُحْرِمِ ثِيَابَهُ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ، وَالرُّخْصَةِ فِي لُبْسِ الْمُمَشَّقِ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمُمَشَّقُ مَصْبُوغًا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ مَصْبُوغٌ بِالطِّينِ
Chapter: Permissibility of changing clothes in ihram and wearing dyed garments if dyed with clay
Hadith 2689
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَهْلَلْنَا مَا لَمْ نُهِلَّ فِيهِ ، وَنَلْبَسُ الْمُمَشَّقَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ طِينٌ "
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when we would enter into the state of Ihram, we would continue to wear such clothes (changing them) in which we had not entered into Ihram (i.e., we had not worn them at the beginning of Ihram), and we would also wear three garments dyed with ochre. The Imam narrates from his teacher Muhammad bin Mu’ammar with his chain of narration that Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: When we would enter into Ihram, we would wear such clothes that had not been touched by perfume or saffron. And we would wear clothes dyed with ochre.
