(142) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي لُبْسِ الْمُحْرِمِ السَّرَاوِيلَ عِنْدَ الْإِعْوَازِ مِنَ الْإِزَارِ وَالْخُفَّيْنِ عِنْدَ عَدَمِ وُجُودِ النَّعْلَيْنِ،
Chapter: Permission for a person in ihram to wear trousers if he cannot find an izar, and leather socks if he cannot find sandals
Hadith 2681
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ ، وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَزَّازُ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ وَيَقُولُ : " السَّرَاوِيلُ لِمَنْ لا يَجِدُ الإِزَارَ ، وَالْخُفَّانِ لِمَنْ لا يَجِدُ النَّعْلَيْنِ " ، قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ : عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon, and he was saying: "Whoever does not find an izar (lower garment) should wear trousers, and whoever does not find sandals should wear leather socks (khuffs)."
بِلَفْظٍ مُجْمَلٍ غَيْرِ مُفَسَّرٍ فِي ذِكْرِ الْخُفَّيْنِ عِنْدَ عَدَمِ وُجُودِ النَّعْلَيْنِ
A statement about a concise, unexplained narration regarding wearing socks when shoes are not available
Hadith 2681
