(112) بَابُ ذِكْرِ جَزَاءِ الضَّبُعِ إِذَا قَتَلَهُ الْمُحْرِمُ
Chapter: The penalty for killing a hyena by someone in ihram
Hadith 2646
حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الضَّبُعِ يُصِيبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ كَبْشًا نَجْدِيًّا ، وَجَعَلَهُ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that if a muhrim (person in the state of ihram) kills a badger, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed as its expiation a Najdi ram. And he (peace be upon him) declared the badger to be a game animal.
Hadith 2647
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَاذَانَ , عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى فِي الضَّبُعِ بكَبْشٍ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ : عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that you ruled the expiation for killing a badger is to give a ram.
