(102) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ وَضَعِ الْإِصْبَعَيْنِ فِي الْأُذُنَيْنِ عِنْدَ رَفَعِ الصَّوْتِ وَالتَّلْبِيَةِ، إِذْ وَضْعُ الْإِصْبَعَيْنِ فِي الْأُذُنَيْنِ عِنْدَ رَفَعِ الصَّوْتِ يَكُونُ أَرْفَعَ صَوْتًا، وَأَمَدَّهُ
102 Subchapter: Recommending putting fingers in the ears when raising the voice with the talbiyah, as it makes the voice louder and longer
Hadith 2632
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا وَادِيَ الأَزْرَقِ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّ وَادٍ هَذَا ؟ " قُلْنَا : وَادِي الأَزْرَقِ ، قَالَ : " كَأَنَّمَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى مُوسَى " ، فَنَعَتَ مِنْ طُولِهِ ، وَشَعْرِهِ ، وَلَوْنِهِ وَاضِعًا أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ لَهُ جَوَازٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ مَارًّا بِهَذَا الْوَادِي ، ثُمَّ نَظَرْنَا حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا ، قَالَ دَاوُدُ : أَظُنُّهُ ثَنِيَّةَ مُوسَى ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّ ثَنِيَّةٍ هَذِهِ ؟ " فَقُلْنَا : ثَنِيَّةُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : كَأَنَّمَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى يُونُسَ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَمْرَاءَ ، خِطَامُ النَّاقَةِ خَلِيَّةٌ ، عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ لَهُ مِنْ صُوفٍ بِهَذِهِ الثَّنِيَّةِ مُلَبِّيًا "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from Makkah Mukarramah to Madinah Munawwarah. When we reached the valley of Azraq, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Which valley is this?" We replied, "This is the valley of Azraq." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is as if I am seeing Musa (peace be upon him)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) described the tall stature, hair, and complexion of Musa (peace be upon him). Musa (peace be upon him) is passing through this valley, raising his voice in Talbiyah, with his fingers in his ears.
Then we continued until we reached the pass of Thaniyyah Harsha. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Which pass is this?" We replied, "This is the pass of Harsha." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is as if I am seeing Yunus (peace be upon him). He is riding a red camel whose bridle is made of palm fiber. Yunus (peace be upon him) is wearing a woolen cloak and is passing through this pass, reciting the Talbiyah."
Then we continued until we reached the pass of Thaniyyah Harsha. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Which pass is this?" We replied, "This is the pass of Harsha." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is as if I am seeing Yunus (peace be upon him). He is riding a red camel whose bridle is made of palm fiber. Hadith 2633
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : سِرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِوَادٍ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّ وَادٍ هَذَا ؟ " فَقَالُوا : وَادِي الأَزْرَقِ ، قَالَ : " كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى مُوسَى " ، فَذَكَرَ مِنْ لَوْنِهِ ، وَشَعَرِهِ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَحْفَظْهُ دَاوُدُ وَاضِعًا أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ لَهُ جَوَازٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ مَارًّا بِهَذَا الْوَادِي ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ سِرْنَا حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا عَلَى ثَنِيَّةٍ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّ ثَنِيَّةٍ هَذِهِ ؟ " فَقَالُوا : هُوَ شَيْءٌ أَوْ كَذَا ، فَقَالَ : " كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى يُونُسَ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَمْرَاءَ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ صُوفٌ ، خِطَامُ نَاقَتِهِ خَلِيَّةٌ مَارًّا بِهَذَا الْوَادِي مُلَبِّيًا "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that we traveled with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) between Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah. We passed through a valley, so he said: "Which valley is this?" We replied that this is the valley of Azraq. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is as if I am seeing Musa (peace be upon him)." Then he mentioned something about his hair and complexion, which Dawud, the narrator, does not remember. Musa (peace be upon him) is passing through this valley, placing his fingers in his ears, raising his voice in Talbiyah. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that then we continued until we reached a mountain pass. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Which mountain pass is this?" The Companions replied: "Harsha Yalafat" is the pass. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is as if I am seeing Yunus (peace be upon him), riding a red she-camel, wearing a woolen cloak. The bridle of his she-camel is made of palm fiber rope, and he is reciting Talbiyah as he passes through this valley."
