Hadith 2604
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that we set out (for Hajj) near the appearance of the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes to enter into Ihram for only Hajj, let him enter into Ihram for only Hajj (and make the intention for Hajj Ifrad), and whoever wishes to enter into Ihram for only Umrah, let him enter into Ihram for Umrah." Thus, some of us entered into Ihram for Hajj and some entered into Ihram for Umrah.
All three types are permissible, and the pilgrim has the choice to enter into the state of Ihram and recite the Talbiyah for whichever type of Hajj he wishes: Qiran, Ifrad, or Tamattu’.

Hadith 2605
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and some of his companions assumed the Ihram for Hajj. And some companions assumed the Ihram for both Hajj and Umrah, and some assumed the Ihram for only Umrah. In the narration of Hazrat Abdul Jabbar, these words are not present that some companions also assumed the Ihram for Hajj. And the addition of these words is mentioned that Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I was also among those who assumed the Ihram for both Hajj and Umrah together.
