Hadith 2601
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man called out loudly and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, which clothes should a Muhrim not wear?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not wear trousers, shirts, cloaks with hoods, turbans, or clothes dyed with saffron or wars plant. Rather, if any of you enters the state of Ihram, he should wear an izar (lower garment), a rida (upper garment), and sandals. And if he does not find sandals, then he should wear leather socks, but cut them (from above) so that they come below the ankles."
