(69) بَابُ إِحْرَامِ أَهْلِ الْمَنَاهِلِ الَّتِي هِيَ أَقْرَبُ إِلَى الْحَرَمِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمَوَاقِيتِ الَّتِي وَقَّتَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَنْ مَنَازِلُهُمْ وَرَائِهَا،
69 Subchapter: Ihram for those whose homes are closer to the sanctuary than the appointed places
Hadith Q2590
وَالْبَيَانُ أَنَّ مَوَاقِيتَ مَنْ مَنْزِلُهُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَى الْحَرَمِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمَوَاقِيتِ: مَنَازِلُهُمْ
So for those whose houses are closer to the Haram than these Miqats, their Miqat will be their own houses. And they will assume Ihram from their own houses.
Hadith 2590
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ لأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ ، وَلأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ ، وَلأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ ، وَلأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا ، فَهُنَّ لَهُنَّ وَلِمَنْ أَتَى عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِنَّ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ دُونَهُنَّ ، فَمِنْ أَهْلِهِ ، وَكَذَلِكَ حَتَّى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ يُهِلُّونَ مِنْهَا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Dhu’l-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Sham, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd. These miqats are for the people of those regions and also for those who reside in other areas and pass through these miqats intending to perform Hajj or Umrah. Therefore, whoever wishes to perform Hajj or Umrah and whose house is within these miqats (towards Makkah), he should enter into ihram from his own house. Similarly, the people of Makkah should enter into ihram from their homes and recite the talbiyah.
