66 Subchapter: Permission to use perfume that leaves a trace during ihram
Hadith 2585
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " لَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ "
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: It is as if I am seeing the shine of perfume (musk) in the parting of the blessed hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), even though he was in the state of Ihram.
Hadith 2586
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، قَالَ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : " لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ الطِّيبَ فِي مَفَارِقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّهُ لَيُلَبِّي "
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I saw the shine of fragrance in the parting of the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), even though he was reciting the Talbiyah.
Hadith 2587
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، وَحَمَّادٌ ، وَمَنْصُورٌ ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ " ، قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ : فِي شَعْرٍ ، وَقَالَ مَنْصُورٌ : فِي أُصُولِ الشَّعَرِ ، وَقَالَ الْحَكَمُ ، وَحَمَّادٌ : فِي مَفْرِقِ رَأْسِهِ
Hasan bin Muhammad Za’farani, Ruh, Shu’bah, Qalam, Hammad, Mansur, and Sulaiman narrate from Ibrahim from Aswad that Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: It is as if I am still seeing the shine of fragrance in the parting of the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in the state of Ihram.
The narrator named Sulaiman has reported these words: in the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while the narrator named Mansur has reported these words: I am seeing (the fragrance) in the roots of the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Whereas the narrators named Hakam and Hammad have reported these words: in the parting of the head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
The narrator named Sulaiman has reported these words: in the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while the narrator named Mansur has reported these words: I am seeing (the fragrance) in the roots of the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Whereas the narrators named Hakam and Hammad have reported these words: in the parting of the head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
