65 Subchapter: Permission to use musk when entering ihram
Hadith 2583
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : " طَيَّبْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ ، وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ بِطِيبٍ فِيهِ مَسْكٌ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " طَيَّبْتُ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " . وَفِي خَبَرِ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّ أَطْيَبَ طِيبِكُمُ الْمِسْكُ " ، دَلالَةٌ وَاضِحَةٌ عَلَى ضِدِّ قَوْلِ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ نَجِسٌ
Al-Qasim narrates that Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) states: I applied perfume to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) before he entered into Ihram, and also on the Day of Nahr (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah) before he performed the Tawaf al-Ifadah. This perfume included musk.
Hadith 2584
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "The best and purest fragrance among you is musk." In this, there is a clear proof against those who consider musk to be impure.
