Hadith 2578
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Dhuwayb Abu Qubaysah Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him with his sacrificial camels and said: "If any of these camels becomes too tired to walk, then slaughter it and dip its shoes in its blood (so that it may serve as a sign for the people), but neither you nor any of your companions should eat its meat." In the narration of Janab Bundar, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent his sacrificial animals with Dhuwayb and added these words: "And strike its bloodied shoes on its side."
