(30) بَابُ حُسْنِ الصَّحَابَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ، إِذْ خَيْرُ الْأَصْحَابِ خَيْرُهُمْ لِصَاحِبِهِ
30 Subchapter: Good companionship in travel; best companion is best to his companion
Hadith 2539
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " خَيْرُ الأَصْحَابِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرُهُمْ لِصَاحِبِهِ ، وَخَيْرُ الْجِيرَانِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرُهُمْ لِجَارِهِ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The best companion in the sight of Allah is the one who is best to his companion. And the best neighbor in the sight of Allah is the one who is best to his neighbor."
