(24) بَابُ دُعَاءِ الْمَرْءِ لِأَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ عِنْدَ إِرَادَته السَّفَرِ
24 Subchapter: Praying for a Muslim brother before travel
Hadith 2532
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، نا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَزَوِّدْنِي ، قَالَ : " زَوَّدَكَ اللَّهُ التَّقْوَى " ، قَالَ : زِدْنِي ، قَالَ : " وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَكَ " ، قَالَ : زِدْنِي بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي ، قَالَ : " وَيَسَّرَ لَكَ حَيْثُ مَا كُنْتَ "
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), I am going on a journey, so grant me provisions for the journey." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: « زَوَّدَکَ اللّٰہُ التَّقْوٰی » "May Allah grant you piety as provision for your journey." He said, "Grant me more." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: « وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَکَ » "May Allah forgive your sins." He again said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you, grant me more." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: « وَیَسَّرَلَکَ الْخَیْرَ حَیْثُ مَا کُنْتَ » "Wherever you are, may Allah make things easy for you."
